This hotel is excellent value for money, with a great location close to the seafront and train station. The neighbourhood is quiet and away from the touristy areas, perfect for a good night's sleep. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the rooms are comfortable with ample seating areas and large comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet has plenty of choices to offer, with a super terrace for outdoor dining.
Pool advertised as shared turned out to be a tiny plunge pool.

Convenient location, 5 min walk to promenade and train station. English-speaking staff, helpful. Clean rooms, spacious with separate seating area and wardrobe. Nice bathroom, separate bath and shower. No safe in room. Would recommend staying here.

I was lucky to have a top floor room with a lovely terrace to sit and have morning coffee in the sun. The buffet breakfast had an adequate choice and the staff were efficient and pleasant. The rooftop pool and bar at the neighboring Hotel Splendid had amazing views and delicious cocktails. Despite a few minor shortcomings, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and would definitely stay at Gounod again. I highly recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, situated in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle, but still within walking distance to everything. The hotel facilities were great, including a large suite with two rooms and a spacious bathroom. The cleanliness was perfect, and I was really impressed with the modern updates in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and polite, and the 24-hour front desk made me feel well taken care of. The hotel's proximity to the beach was a major plus, allowing me to easily visit the coast whenever I wanted.
